Beginning as a fundraiser for The ARC of the Capitol Area and now serving the same purpose for UT Elementary, Harvest Moon is a concert held annually that serves as the Texas Cowboys’ largest fundraising event of the year.

Harvest Moon has hosted performances from such storied names as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Pat Greene, The Doobie Brothers, Cody Johnson, Parker McCollum, the Randy Rogers Band, and many more. It is the Texas Cowboys’ tradition to present a custom-fitted and handmade black cowboy hat and orange neckerchief to the performing artist, and the images below are still frames captured from an audience video of Stevie Ray receiving his hat in March of 1985. Harvest Moon has been a significant contributor to the Texas Cowboys' total lifetime donation of over $1,000,000 to The ARC and continues to serve as a major fundraising effort today.
